In the first part of Mathematical Modelling with Computers the student learns to use the basic tools of mathematical modeling.

After completing the basic requirements, a student in this course follows one of two tracks.

• Education Track

The Education Track examines how to specifically model educational mathematics utilizing a curriculum framework around a detailed set of standards. They then learn to use various computer applications to construct mathematical tools for use in the classroom to effectively enhance the educational process.

• Measurement-Analysis Track

The Measurement-Analysis Track examines how to construct models for, conduct and use appropriate modeling software to solve real-world experiments in mathematics at various levels of mathematical understanding.
