A. Student construct original models for and conduct at least two real-world measurement experiments.

• Each model must be explained in detail.
• The techniques for measuring must be explained in detail.
• The experiments must measure something physical - like temperature, amount of light, etc. The calculator based laboratory (CBL) can be used for this.
• One experiment should be at 6-8th grade level, i.e. a 6th-8th grader must be able to duplicate the experiment and understand the mathematics used to analyze/solve the problem.
• One experiment should be at advanced level and the results must lead to a solvable differential equation. A complete solution using appropriate modelling software must be given.

B. Student construct model for and conduct one real-world experiment from statistics

• The model must be explained in detail.
• The techniques for measuring must be explained in detail.
• Appropriate modelling software must be used to analyze the data.
• The experiment should be at 8th-10th grade level, i.e. a 8th-10th grader must be able to duplicate the experiment and understand the mathematics used to analyze/solve the problem.

C. Student must make a power-point presentation for all experiments.

D. Student must make a flash movie animating the entire process of one of the experiments.
